A question about " suit one's taste"? Please help !
I know what does it mean in Chinese, it means " 符合某人的口味".
I am sure it is correct when I say " This dish suits my taste". Just some food, dishes, or some taste senses "suit one's taste"?
My question is can I say " This T-shirt suits my taste, I'll buy it" , " That girl suits Tom's taste, he will ask her to be his girlfriend" ?
Thanks a lot!

You could say that, but you would sound a bit odd. Just say:
"I like the T-shirt. I'll take it."
"That girl suits John. I wonder if he'll ask her out."

I would easily say
"I like the shirt, i will buy it"
"This girl meets Tom's taste, he will ask her to be his girlfriend".
My suggestion neednt to be correctly. Maybe a native speaker have different ways to say it.
