What is the point of this joke? [Clip of Rodney Dangerfield, saying “It’s not easy being me; when I was born the doctor told my mother, ‘I did all I could, but he pulled through anyway.’”]

rodney is a terrible comedian. he's one of my least favorites. He means the doctor tried to kill him when he was being born to help out his mother, society, etc. There's not too much to understand. He's just not funny.

Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha, that is sooo funny. He means the doctor tried hard to kill him at birth, but he made it through anyway.

Hmm , I don't think this joke is funny especially as the comedian, being a guy, has no idea whatsoever of what giving birth is really like.
