How do you read kanji?
I just don't know where to start when it comes to kanji. Like when you read a sentence and come to a kanji character, what do you do first? I just...have no clue. And each one has so many meanings and pronunciations how do you know which one to use? etc....

every one has own method. as for me lets say i may not know the readings of 先生 but i know it's a teacher, professor etc. and what is the japanese for it? sensei

You need to learn Japanese first before you can read the Kanji. Get the following:
