(he's so handsome, he is of special kind of beaty (meaning not like the others)) Какой словарь мне лучше купить? Вот такой (вот этот). (Which kind of dictionary should i buy? This one (meaning this particular kind of dictionary). Этот дом такой высокий! So, you already know about meaning of "такой" :) Some remarks: it can be used with nouns (такой дом), adjectives (такой большой), but you should use "так" with adverbs. "He is running so fast"=="Он так быстро бежит"=="Он бежит так быстро".

Generally it can be understood as a reply to the question What kind? This (one)! Вообще это можно понимать как ответ на вопрос Какой? - Такой ! What candy do you like - This one.
