아이스크림 좋아해? Do you like ice cream?
아니, 싫어해( 좋아하지 않아) No, I hate it ( I dont like it )
나는 네가 싫어 (I don't like you . sometime I hate you , possibly )
It is what he meant , To Korean, we use 싫어해 as "hate" or "don't like" or "dislike"
here is another illustration of 싫어해
공부해 !( Study hard!)

저랑 데이트 할래요? ( would you like to hang out with me?)
싫어요 ( No )
Can you sing for me? ( 날 위해 노래 불러줄래? )
nope ( 싫어)

싫어 is dislike.
it can be meaning as "i don't like."
but it is exactly "dislike"
so, example, "i dislike apples"
