When to say Здрaвствуйте or Здрасте or Привет?

It's better to greet somebody using "здравствуйте" word, it's a kind of 'hello', but a lot more official. Say it if you need an official tone. If you're greeting your pal, use an informal word "привет" ('hi' or 'hey' in english). I will not recommend to use the word "здрасте" at all, it is a colloquial form of "здравствуйте", very discordant one.

Здравствуйте is officially здрасте is a kind of здравствуй but less oficially. And привет you can say to your friend or your relatives.

Лучше говорить - Здравствуйте незнакомым людям и тем кто старше вас. А ПРИВЕТ можно говорить - подругам, друзьям, соседям... А такое слово, как ЗДРАСТИ лучше вообще не употреблять=)

здрасьте - плохое слово. Не надо его использовать. Оно неуважительное.
