How should I start learning Japanese?
What steps should I take in starting Japanese? I don't know any Japanese, but I'd really like to learn!
I have the Japanese keyboard, but I am really confused on the whole Hiragana, Kana, Kanji thing and conversion and I don't understand heh heh...
What's the first step I should take in learning Japanese? And how should I go from there?
Thank you very much!

master hiragana first and foremost, then master katakana (write your name in katakana). You need not master kanji immediately, but at least familiarize yourself with the basics (for level 4 in jlpt, or level n5).. watch anime with subtitles (try watching slamdunk or deathnote) or read manga with the hiragana/katakana characters (try the naruto manga).
