That book that shook me to the deeps of my yet young soul was Lord of the Flies.
I read it more than 10 years ago, today I still vividly remember pictures I've been imagining while reading the book and they are horrifying sometimes.
BTW could you explain the difference between horrific and horrifying? I didn't get it.

I'm a native English speaker, but I can't actually think of a difference between horrifying and horrific. I believe they are essentially interchangeable.

Hey there! I made a few corrections! If you’d like to go over them, you’re welcome to send me a private message! As for the terms you asked for a clarification about, something “horrific” would be something that bears the quality of being horrid per se, whereas something “horrifying” would be something that generates a feeling of horror in a person that has a chance to witness it. As for their practical usage, they can be used pretty in the same contexts pretty much.
As you’re a book lover and you already went through a book I’d like to read sooner or later, I’d be very glad if you decided to have a chat with me now and then! I hope you’ll send me a message!
