Professional Teacher¡La Tortilla!
Tortillas are wonderful and tasty! Nevertheless, be careful when you order one! You may have to think first: are you in Spain, or are you in Latin America?
In many Latin-American countries, tortilla refers to a thin round of unleavened cornmeal or wheat flour bread usually eaten with a topping or filling (as ground meat or cheese). It’s basically what you can use to wrap your Burritos!
In Spain, tortilla is very different! When you order a Spanish Tortilla, you’ll get a flat round food made by frying eggs that have been mixed together with potato and (most of the times) onion in it.
Have you tried any of them? Both of them, perhaps?
Whatever the word is: tortillas are always delicious!
¡Buen provecho! 🍽
