When should large retailers close? Recently, some local governments revised their policies about mandatory closures for large retailers. These companies will still be required to close two days a month. However, they will now have the option to close their doors on weekends instead of every other Sunday. This has led to disagreement among small local businesses and consumers. Supporters say that the change will be more practical for customers, and that retailers should have the option to choose. Others argue that the change will confuse people, and that will negate the intent of the original policy. ~~(◑ㅅ◑)~~*\(^-^)/*~~(◐ㅅ◐)~~ In my opinion, large retailers should be allowed to choose their closing days. To begin with, people shop the most on weekends. And large retailers offer a huge selection of products that allow one-stop shopping. Closing on Sundays is very inconvenient for customers. Also, while some say that small stores are hard to do business when large retail stores open on Sundays; people don't usually go to smaller local businesses even if large retailers are closed. They just use online markets at home. So there's no need for large retail stores to close on Sundays. In conclusion, large retailers should close on weekdays.
