Lying is a bad habit. It’s a pity that my first notebook entry is about unpleasant event that has happened to me just couple of hours ago. I am teaching English here and have wonderful, intelligent, amazing students from all over the world with whom I am always happy to communicate. But couple of days ago a user Boris (33, Male, From Russian Federation, living in Moscow Russian Federation) asked for a trial session. I accepted the request and send him a mail asking about his needs and preferences as for our session. We exchanged mails and settled everything. But when the time of the session came, Boris was not online. I sent him my skype contact request, but he was offline on skype and didn’t accept it. I was waiting for him for nearly 40 minutes when the problem notification from italki came. He notified the italki team that I hadn’t appeared on the session and hadn’t warned him about my absence. Of course, I’ve sent my refutation but this event left a nasty taste in my mouth. You know, I think that this was really unworthy deed of him. It’s annoying that such users spoil the nice friendly atmosphere on italki. I think that he just wanted to lower my ratings and decided to do it in such “inventive” way. Hope that italki team will solve this problem as soon as possible. I wonder if such problems happen to other teachers too?
