IELTS speaking examiner for the British Council / 15 years experience. I'm a certified IELTS speaking examiner with the British council. That means I'm an expert in IELTS. I know exactly how to help you get the band score you need. I have 15 years teaching experience in 8 different countries. I'm approachable, friendly and encouraging. Please check my reviews! In my online IELTS lessons, we will focus on specific skills to help you improve your band score. We will explore the various different skills you need to improve in parts 1, 2 and 3 for each of the 4 core skills: Fluency, Vocabulary, Grammar and Pronunciation. These skills will include paraphrasing, using connectives, and using idioms. First we'll do a speaking mock test, then I'll give you detailed feedback according to the official IELTS band descriptors. By using a bank of recent questions, we'll focus on the skills you need to achieve the band score you need. For example, we will look at how to paraphrase by answering a variety of common questions, such as: Do you like going to the cinema? Yes, I like / I love / I'm fond of / I'm really into going to the cinema. Do you think a healthy life style is important? Yes, in my opinion, a healthy life style is vital / essential / crucial. There are many other skills to learn. Book a lesson with me to learn how to get your desired band score.

He is definitely amazing, patient, knowledgeable person. He would lead you to think the proper paraphrase of the word. Also he teaches you idioms, which you could never learn from non-native speak. Steve, Thank you for all the things you have taught me. I’ll keep learning and make progress. And welcome to Beijing again.

I'd say Steve really helped me a lot. Before I took the exam on 30th September, I was extremely nervous. But Steve encouraged me and kept practicing with me. He said he would give me 7 at speaking test, before that, I thought I would be happy if I could get 6. AT the first day of October, I GOT MY score. TOTAL BAND 7.5, with the speaking at 7. THANK YOU!!! SINCERELY!!!

The teacher used some own materials like pdf, PowerPoint and IELTS bans score scale. We had the mock test and I got the feedback that I can work on for improving my score.
