Hello! I have been a Spanish Native Tutor for 4 years and I will help you both read and converse more effectively in Spanish. My classes will make you more successful as a Spanish student learner for school, business, or just for travel. I have traveled extensively and can devote lessons primarily to making sure you travel well, whether it is in Latin America or anywhere. I am doing my PhD focused on bio-chemistry and love to talk about science. I love exploring the Spanish language through cultural experiences both Latin and non-Latin cultures. I enjoy discussions of movies/series, art, science, Saturday markets, music and hiking!

I believe in personalized lessons that help you achieve your specific goals, and our lessons will complement the other resources you are using to learn Spanish. Some students want a fast-paced set of lessons, while many people like to have more of a relaxed and fun atmosphere. Regardless, I can make you more comfortable with Spanish using a mix of methods and resources in a supportive atmosphere.

My lessons & teaching style

I have plenty of material and a good methodology to learn. My classes are fully personalized, I prefer to listen to the students first, their goals, their dreams, and then I will prepare a good plan for them to learn, practice, and advance in Spanish!

Marcela is a great teacher. She is knowledgeable, personable, speaks great English (only when needed!), knows spanish grammar intimately and above all is great fun. The lesson flies past and I would recommend her to anyone!
