Hey there! I'm Javier, a professional teacher from Colombia with a passion for teaching Spanish. I've been helping young and adult learners of all levels since 2010, both in-person and online, in countries like the United Kingdom and Japan.
My mission is to help you communicate effectively and with confidence, whether you're starting from scratch or striving for a C2 level. That's why I focus on the most common vocabulary and expressions used in real-life conversations and contexts, making learning Spanish fun and practical!Me as a Teacher

One of my favorite parts of teaching is getting to know my students and helping them communicate their ideas clearly and effectively.
During our lessons, I want you to have as much speaking practice as possible. That's why we'll have guided conversations that focus on your specific needs and interests. And if there's specific vocabulary or grammar that you need help with, we'll work on that together too.

Javier is by far the best Spanish Tutor I've had, and I've tried tutors from other platforms before iTalki. He is personable, patient, and his teaching style is ideal for online learners. I dont think other students, or other tutors for that matter, give thought to that. Javier uses a PDF to capture areas you need to review/study so that you can improve. July mark's the 2nd year that I've been taking lessons with Javier and I have definitely progressed with my Spanish. I can now confidently add "Spanish speaker" on my resume thanks to Javier.

I absolutely enjoyed my trial class!!! I understood Javier very well and I was able to answer all his questions. I never had to ask him to ‘repeat’ anything. This was by far the best trial class I have had so far. I didn’t feel rushed to speak. The conversation pace was a nice and easy pace. He allowed silence to be a place to think and didn’t push. I was afraid I would be so nervous that I forget my basic vocabulary but that did not happen to me for the first time ever! I am hoping to start more classes with him in the near future as my goal is be conversational fluent without translating in my brain. I’m so excited. Truly excited!
