About Me

Hey, I like to teach and talk Dutch with you. I am always interested to meet, listen and having conversations with people from all over the world. Maybe you are the next person. My name is Nicole, born in the Netherlands. At the moment I am in Thailand on a small tropical island. Palm trees and white sand beaches never bores. I meet people from all over the world. Diving, hiking, and cooking are some of my hobby's. But my favorite hobby is travelling and preferably to the most remote areas in the world. With a backpack and a tent into the nature, the mountains.....it makes me so happy. And I am very interested in other cultures. Leef je droom, droom niet je leven !!!!!!

Me as a Teacher

A spontaneous, relaxed person who can listen well that's who I am as a teacher. I'd love to teach people a new skill. In this case Dutch. Don't be shy or nervous to make mistakes. From mistakes you can learn. I am very patient. I try to figure out what kind of learner you are and where possible, adapt my lessons to your learning style, to keep you motivated and progressing.

My lessons & teaching style

Talking is the best way to learn a language. Based on your interests and learning goals, I will customize the classes to your specific needs. A lesson should be relaxed and fun, but of course you should also learn something from it. Book a lesson with me and we will have a chat soon.

Nicole encourages me to speak right away, which I really appreciated. She adjusts her speaking speed gradually, which is nice She gives clear tips on common mistakes, especially word order and grammar, directly within conversation. The session was topic based. :-)

It was my very first lesson with Nicole, and I'm really looking forward to the next one. Nicole asked me in advance of the lesson about my particular goals regarding learning Dutch, and we already have a plan for the next lesson. I really liked the fact that Nicole was very patient in listening to my spoken Dutch and that she gently pointed out the grammatical errors - especially with word order - that I was making. I was impressed by the fact Nicole gave me feedback even at the very start of the lesson by providing me with a corrected version of the message I'd sent to her to introduce myself and explain my particular aims. In sum, I'm looking forward to continuing to learn Dutch now!
