I'm a patient and friendly person. And I'm also serious, respectful, and goal orientated. I focus on communication and cultural aspects of the language. I embrace "mistakes" because we can learn a lot from them. So PLEASE, don't be afraid to make mistakes!
I've been trying to improve my teaching skills, and that's why I took a certified course on Online ELE Teaching (ELE: Español como Lengua Extranjera).
I can use English or French if necessary but I try to stay in Spanish because I want you to be exposed to the language as much as possible. In the beginning, we'll discuss your goals and expectations. This will provide me with a guide to personalize your learning experience.My lessons & teaching style
- Getting ready for the lesson:
Preview to the lesson, we'll accord on the topic to discuss or the language aspect to work on. I'll
then send you the material necessary: videos, articles, PDFs, websites, etc.
- During the lessons:
We will focus on the topic or grammar aspects accorded to work. You'll have the chance to
practice all the new vocabulary or new structures you've discovered in advance in activities such
as: discussions, monologues, roleplays, presentations, etc.
Along with that, I'll correct and/or guide you in more efficient ways to express yourself in a real
situation.
I'll take notes in a Google Doc. that you can access and review anytime you want.My teaching material

I wanted to write this in English so that any prospective students can understand just what a fantastic tutor Kevin is. I've had so many tutors (more than 20 I think and I must have had nearly 100 classes) on iTalki and there have been some very good ones. Kevin is BY FAR the best though, and I really can't speak highly enough of him and the help he's given me over the past 6 months or so.
Every conversation is completely different to the last and we talk about all sorts of things. He keeps a record of what we do each session so that you can revise and he sends brilliant resources that are fun and useful. Most importantly, Kevin is ALWAYS interested in what you have to say.
If you want to improve your Spanish, I can't emphasise enough how much I recommend Kevin!
