Over 8 years teaching English. TEFL certified & BA degree in communications and media. My name is Fiona. I've been teaching English for over 8 years, online and face to face. The majority of my experience is an ESL English teacher in Vietnam. I taught in many different settings, such as, primary school, montessori, pre-school, language centers & private lessons. I also taught English in a bilingual kindergarten in Berlin, Germany for 2yrs. They were unique experiences, and both helped me to excel as a teacher. I am also a yoga and sound healing facilitator. I love to practice these, in my spare time. I enjoy meeting new people, and conversing about anything and everything. I love helping people of all ages excel in English. It is a special kind of reward when a student learns something new, and more importantly enjoys the process. I think I am a friendly, caring and approachable teacher. I like my students to be comfortable, and to feel like they can ask me anything. Learning can be difficult sometimes, but that doesn't mean it needs to be boring. I try to keep my students engaged, and be able to laugh whenever possible! I try to include topics that the student finds interesting and can relate to. I am open for the student to choose a certain topic, if they want to expand their vocab. I'm a good listener and can correct students on their mistakes, such as grammatical, pronunciation and sentence structure. I will give praise when a student is doing well and progressing. I try to encourage students to achieve their best.
