With over 10 years of experience teaching Spanish as a second language, I have helped students from across Europe, the United States, and Canada achieve their goals by adapting to their unique cultural backgrounds and learning paces. My Teaching Philosophy: Conversations Over Memorization In my decade of teaching, I’ve discovered that most learners simply want to speak naturally in everyday situations. That is why my method moves away from rigid, formal courses and the tedious rote memorization of verb tables. Communicative Approach: I prioritize active speaking. Juana is patient and encouraging. This was my first session, but I know I am going to learn a lot from her.

I enjoyed the trial sessions with Juana to determine my level and what I need to be more comfortable in speaking Spanish

Gracias, Juana! Me encanta hablar contigo porque cada vez hablamos de cosas muy interesantes y importantes. Es una buena oportunidad para practicar una variedad de vocabulario y estructuras gramáticas. Hasta la próxima! :)

Juana is awseome. I have tried quite a few italki teachers & Juana is exceptional. Her style is accomodative of where you are at in your learning journey & although she teaches in Spanish, she will adjust to English if I need it [her English is very good]. In addition her volume is good for listening clarity & she will repeat or slow down as required.

Juana is very smart, very easy to understand, and knows how to teach. A very good choice for anyone!
