When I was younger, I spent many years traveling around the world. I am very interested in other cultures and religions and enjoy talking about this. At university I studied Hebrew, majoring in Kabbalah, which is a subject I write and teach about. After living in Holland, England, and France, I now live in Portugal on a small farm where my partner and I practice permaculture.Me as a Teacher
As part of my love for traveling, I really enjoy meeting, and talking to, people from other cultures. I love hearing about other people's lives , so we will never run out of things to talk about. Because of my university background in linguistics, I am very familiar with all the stages of learning a language. I can assist you not only as a native speaker, but also as someone who has gone through the process of learning a new language many times. I feel that having a good time together during class is important since it will maximize how much you learn.My lessons & teaching style
My lessons are custom-made for each student. I am open to using the material you provide, to helping you with exams and o ther assignments, or to simply talk. In any case I like to take all the time we need, knowing that for a lot of people a stress-less learning process is beneficial. If you want I can give you homework, or otherwise we can concentrate on your conversation skills. In general my classes are relaxed and inspiring.5.0

I had a wonderful first lesson with Eric. He's very friendly and encouraging which made the conversation very easy. He is also very observant and will offer gentle corrections when I make a mistake. Looking forward to more lessons with him.

Eric is very nice, talk a lot of Dutch with me, especially when I switch to English, he answered me in English but quickly switched to Dutch back. This is very important to force me to speak and understand more Dutch. I will book more lessons with him.

I took a few lessons with Eric and I intend to take many more, because he's a great teacher who pays attention to the small details, teaches a lot o f everyday conversation vocabulary, as well as grammar, always patient, encouraging , fun and with a personal approach.
