Hi, my name is Julie! I am a Belgian woman, and I live in Brazil.
I am a Yoga Teacher and a Dutch tutor on Italki!
I love to travel, food, music, and animals ;-).Me as a Teacher
My goal is for the student to build more self-confidence in learning a new language. I attach importance to creating a safe environment where the student can practice the new language in complete safety and at his/her own pace. By listening I will know what the student need so that this safety can be maintained. There is room for questions. This means that the student can ask the questions he/she needs, even if this question is asked several times.My lessons & teaching style
For me, teaching is more than standing in front of a classroom. It is about sharing your experience about things that you are passionate about. And with sharing this experience, you can help each other grow. Like I am my students' teacher, my students are my teachers.
In the conversation class, we mainly work on talking and listening. You learn to increase your self-confidence by speaking the new language in a safe environment. If you are looking for someone who can give you depth in grammar, you can choose the Tutoring class. Here we will study the depth of grammar through specific and subject-oriented exercises.
