✈️ Travel Japanese | 🌱 Beginners | 🎈 Kids Welcome | 💼 Business Japanese Practical, friendly Japanese for real-life communication— online and in real workplaces in Japan. I've lived abroad for almost 20 years, in Australia, India, and Myanmar, so I know what it feels like to be lost in a language you don't understand yet. That's where my passion for teaching began — teaching Japanese online to children in Myanmar during the pandemic, and seeing how language can be a lifeline, not just a skill. 📌 What makes my lessons different: I don't just teach "textbook Japanese." I teach the Japanese you'll actually use — at a restaurant, on a train, at the shop, or on your first day at a Japanese workplace. I call this "Real-Life Japanese." I've taught students everything from travel basics to everyday conversation — always practical, real-world Japanese you can use right away. 🗣️ I can explain grammar and nuance in English or Spanish, so even complete beginners never feel lost. I'll match your pace and comfort level. Whether you want to: ✈️ Travel around Japan with confidence 🚀 Start Japanese from zero 💼 Prepare for work or business in Japan — keigo, business etiquette, and workplace communication (proven experience teaching N3-level professionals) 💬 Have real, natural conversations ...I'll build lessons that get you there. My goal isn't just to teach Japanese — it's to help you feel confident, connect with people, and open new doors through language. Looking forward to meeting you in a trial lesson!

Yasuko is an outstanding teacher, who takes time to carefully explain concepts. She strikes a great balance between following a curriculum, while also adapting to my knowledge gaps, and my goals. 5/5 stars!
