I taught elementary students for 38 years. Let's enjoy learning Japanese! I’m a retired teacher. I taught elementary students for 38 years which allowed me to be equipped with the necessary skills to teach Japanese in a fun and enjoyable manner. After retirement, I studied to become a Japanese teacher because I like talking with people. I like traveling and I have been to several countries. I’ve been to many places in Japan so I am knowledgeable about a lot of tourist destinations. During my free time, I play table tennis once a week. Furthermore, I have played the ukulele for over 15 years. After the pandemic I want to perform some songs while playing the ukulele in parties. I’m really looking forward to talking to people from various countries. I am currently a licensed Japanese teacher. But I want to gain various experiences as a community tutor in italki. During our lessons, I use several Japanese textbooks. For example; Minna no Nihongo, GENKI, FUN&EASY, TOBIRA, IRODORI(Web), and JLPT. I enjoyed today's lesson a lot! Due to personal reasons it had been a while since last time, and I was really glad to talk to Mai-san again! Sensei, thank you very much for the conversation. I enjoyed talking about the forthcoming JLPT exam, about swimming and enjoying time at a restaurant. It was fun and I learned many useful expressions!
