My name is Sofia and I come from Thessaloniki, Greece. I am a graduate of the Hellenic-American Union (Department of Translation and Linguistics) and I am licensed by the Ministry of Education and Religious Affairs. After many years of studying and attaining professional and academic qualifications, I commenced my professional teaching career in my home country. For 20 years I worked as a full time teacher of English and Greek, tutoring both children and adults, providing both online and face-to-face classes according to the needs of my students. Now, based in the UK, I continue to provide the same educational services to children and adults.

I have no doubts that Sofia is the best teacher here on italki. I'm also a teacher myself (music). She's very professional, and she knows how to teach the language extremely well. I wouldn't be at the level that I'm at (although I still have a lot of work to do!) if it weren't for her. Thankfully, I don't have to be in Greece to get better at Greek! Thanks Sofia! :-)
