I love meaningful conversations—whether it's about the philosophy of life, culture and people, or practical topics like real estate, business, technology, and employment. I'm always curious and eager to explore how we can create hope, not just for ourselves but for the whole world. Swahili is one of the most widely spoken languages in Africa — especially across East Africa — and I’ve had the joy of teaching it for over 6 years, both part-time and full-time. One thing I’ve learned? No two students learn the same way! That’s what makes teaching so exciting. I love creating a relaxed space where my students can speak as naturally as possible — no pressure, just good vibes and steady progress. It’s all about feeling confident and having fun while learning! My lessons are all about lively, open conversations between me and my student(s). We don’t just stick to the script — we chat, we laugh, and we practice together throughout the session to make sure everything clicks. I know learning a new language can feel overwhelming, so I keep things light and interactive to make sure you're not just learning, but actually enjoying the journey. I am very happy with Hosiana, I have been taking about 8 classes with her now. She is always enthusiastic and kind, encourages me to try to talk as much in Swahili as possible, corrects where needed and then explains some of the grammar or a word that was misused. She is very clear in her explanations, gives me some exercises to do at home and is very stimulation in learning more. Overall I would highly recommend taking classes with Hosiana!!
