My name is Monika Guzik-Skirzynska, I’m Polish. I lived in Poland for most of my live, but recently I have moved to UK. I’m married with three adult daughters. I have a soft spot for animals - I have three dogs. I have many interests such as music, playing piano and guitar, writing songs and composing. Some of my other hobbies include literature (reading as well as writing) and IT - recently I became a qualified manual tester of software. I have a certificate ISTQB.Me as a Teacher
I’m a Polish language teacher as well as music and art. I graduated from Polish studies at the Jagiellonian University and postgraduate studies in music and fine arts at the University of Rzeszow. I was teaching Polish language for 27 years in Polish school. My work was awarded many times by the headmistress and the mayor of my city. My lessons have won recognition from the inspectors of the Board of Education. My lessons & teaching style
My lessons are tailored to needs and abilities of my students. I believe that „diving into the language” is the best way to learn. I conduct conversations, teach grammar (if anyone needs it) and literature. With me you can learn many variations of Polish language formal, literary, poetic, colloquial and dialects I will teach you to not only speak and understand spoken language but also how to write all forms of written expression. I've been intensively preparing for the B1 exam with Monika for more than two months, and I want to highlight her professionalism and dedication to her work. We've focused on developing my writing skills and reinforcing grammar, and Monika has proven to be a teacher of the highest level.
Monika is an active and attentive teacher who genuinely cares about the learning process. She has prepared numerous materials for our lessons, including books, her own presentations on various topics and levels, and even audio recordings. Monika also takes the time to review and correct my homework outside of lessons.
The lessons take place in a relaxed, friendly atmosphere. We always have plenty of topics to discuss, so there's never a lack of interesting conversation!
