Aracely is an excellent teacher. She has lots of interactive and guided practice activities. She is excellent at explaining the intricacies of the language and really enjoys the quirks that tell us a lot about the people through the language. She is smart, friendly, organized and supportive. I have read that learning a language from a non-native speaker is a better option for older folk (me!), because they understand the confusions that adults bring to learning a new language. I think that is true especially at the lower levels of acquisition. I have had perhaps 10+ other online tutors (for other languages) and she is the best teacher I have had. She makes you work, but she makes it fun.
I've taken 6 lessons with Aracely, and I cannot recommend her enough. She answers every question I have and with perfect explanations. She easily comes up with conversation topics and so our conversations naturally flow, and she tries to get me to speak as much as possible, and is very patient! She reviews the lessons I finished in "Minna no Nihongo" by testing me on the sentence patterns. The 45 minutes go by so fast and are very enjoyable!
