Oxford-educated, qualified English teacher with over 10 years’ experience. My name is Ellie, and I specialise in teaching Business English - helping clients to secure their dream job, gain confidence in their current role or secure their next role. I live in Birmingham, UK and I have a degree in English Literature from Oxford University. I have been teaching for 10 years and I get a lot of satisfaction from seeing my students progress. I love the fact that my job enables me to meet people from all over the world. As well as teaching English, I love learning languages myself, including French, Spanish and Italian. I completed a French teaching qualification in 2025 and I currently teach French in a UK secondary school. I have over 10 years' experience in teaching Business English one-to-one. Before becoming an English teacher, I spent 15 years working in the advertising and market research industries, so I have lots of experience of real-life business situations. I have an intermediate knowledge of French and also know some Spanish. I personalise each course of lessons to the individual client. At the start of the course, I agree the subjects to be covered with the client and do a level assessment. I make my lessons interactive and engaging.
