Hi!
My name is Elisabeth and I am a native Norwegian speaker from Kristiansand, Norway. I have taught hundreds of Norwegian lessons online and tutored for more than 10 years. I started out teaching on Preply, but recently transferred to Italki, and I love it! I have traveled and lived all over the world, but spent the last 20 years in the United States, where I have been studying a lot. I have an MA in Psychology and Counseling, BA's in Biology and Political Science, and MA's in Political Science and Theology in the works. I hope to start medical school this fall and become a radiologist. In my free time I love to travel with my Boston Terrier, read, work out, cook and listen to music.Me as a Teacher
I do not have a single approach to teaching because all of my students are different. This year I have had a lot of students pass language exams and citizenship tests at various levels. Whether you are a beginner or an advanced student, I will adapt my teaching style to your needs. During our first lesson I try to get to know you a little bit better and understand how you best learn, and then we decide on an approach together. I often use a textbook when I teach, combined with online exercises and quizzes, but I am flexible and willing to work with your learning style. I am currently accepting new students for Norwegian intensive courses for levels A1, A2 and B1-B2. The courses run for for 6 weeks, 9 hours a week, and it starts on July 13th.
I have loved teaching and coaching all of my life. I grew up in elite gymnastics and coached gymnastics for more than 10 years. I have tutored thousands of students in academic subjects, and I am a natural cheerleader. I want you to succeed and reach your goals! My hope is that you will have fun, build your confidence, and grow to love the Norwegian language and our culture!
