Born and raised in Helsinki, Finland, but currently living in New Zealand.
Even though I studied Business Management in Helsinki, I somehow always end up going back to teaching...
With a decade of experience from teaching ballet, and here in NZ from working in Alternative Education (high school) I believe we rise by lifting others.
Finnish language is quite a special one, and it would be an honour to support your journey to become fluent in Finnish, while learning more about the country!Me as a Teacher
After years of studying all these different languages, I understand the pain of learning new grammar, and the frustration when trying to express yourself without having the right words.
Instead of drowning students in new rules of the language or gluing their noses into to the books.. There are so many comfortable ways and tricks to learn, always something for someone!
Besides over a decade of teaching ballet, I have been teaching in primary school back in Finland, and since last year in alternative education here in New Zealand.
After almost two years on the other side of the world, it is time to honour my roots and have my share in keeping Finnish language alive!My lessons & teaching style
With me you get to talk, sign, read poems and articles, write whatever challenges you, even do some good old homeworks.
My main goal is to keep the lesson topics always interesting, touching topics that are useful on a daily basis, with emphasis on vocal communication skills!
I'll make sure that after every lesson you'll feel like you have a better understanding of how things like sauna, sunshine, or lack of sunshine, and lakes impact people's mindset, culture and why it matters.My teaching material

She is the best language tutor I have ever met. Every lesson with her is pleasant and useful thanks to her friendly, creative and attentive approach. Her explanation skill is exceptionally good, which helps me learn a lot, especially about new words and pronunciation.
