I am Gabriel Anderson and come from a rural part of Scotland. I have a passion for language learning and enjoy speaking to others. My other hobbies include music, playing/watching sports, playing piano and watching films. I enjoy travelling and I have been to many different countries in the past few years, e.g. France, Antigua and Barbuda, and Norway. During lockdown, I enjoyed learning Chinese and spent a lot of time messaging Chinese friends. I enjoy teaching others as I enjoy watching others improve at their desired skills. Over the past few years, I have helped many classmates to achieve higher grades in their exams by tutoring them. I feel like it benefitted them but also helped my understand the subject better and it gave me a better understanding of how others perceive challenges. My lessons will be focused around conversational skills. I believe speaking about a large variety of different topics improves vocabulary and most importantly confidence. Confidence will be a strong focus - trying to boost confidence while speaking. For beginners, we will focus on building strong basics - grammar and vocabulary - and I while encourage watching media such as TV and film in English and music in English. For advanced learners, I can help give exposure to a light Scottish accent and can help with accents across the UK.

He is a very nice and friendly teacher. I recommend him learners of all level. For me, listening to his Scottish accent has been good practice. It can be challenging sometimes, but it’s really helpful. Also he’s very mature for his age. he creates a comfortable environment where it’s easy to speak English. So I recommend him to beginners too.
