Hei! My name is Siru, and I'm Finnish but I live in Barcelona. I work as a medical translator and I teach Finnish and Esperanto. I hold a BA in Icelandic and an MA in Translation Studies, both from the University of Iceland. I have studied many languages and I'm currently learning Nahuatl and Turkish. Besides language learning, I love singing, reading, knitting and painting pottery.Me as a Teacher
My main goal as a teacher is to make the student feel relaxed and confident. My lessons are a safe space and I focus on the positive things.My lessons & teaching style
I love grammar, and therefore I'm offering grammar classes. The students can request a certain topic, or I can suggest some options. I also offer conversational classes, during which I can explain some grammatical aspects and vocabulary, if needed. I'm here for the students, so don't hesitate to ask if there's something you'd like to learn and you're not sure whether it fits the classes I offer.My teaching material

I had a really great first lesson with Siru. She is such a nice and cheerful person so it was easy to talk to her. She provided a positive atmosphere so I was totally comfortable to speak Finnish. Kiitos ja nähdään taas!
