Hello, I'm Taka!
I was born and grew up in Japan and currently live in Tokyo.
After graduating from a university in Tokyo, I worked for several Japanese companies, mainly in the media industry, for over 25 years.
Thanks to plenty of experiences of business trips nationwide from Hokkaido to Kagoshima, I can tell the differences in dialogue, food, and transportation between cities.
Outside of work, I like traveling, strength training in the gym, and playing poker.Me as a Teacher
1. I offer five types of lesson, as shown in the menu. I can modify and improve lessons to meet your expectations and requests.
2. In most types of my lessons, I provide a note of personalized corrections and advice to help you improve your skills more efficiently.
3. My grammatical lessons go with the textbooks Minna no Nihongo and Genki. If you use textbooks other than these two, please let me know.Even if you don't have textbooks in the initial stages, you can still start your lessons. I've prepared over 50 sets of PowerPoint tutoring slides.My lessons & teaching style
How I teach
-You'll think and speak more than me. Focusing on creating sentences yourself is the most important thing for improving your Japanese skills.
-I usually use Japanese in my classes. I use English according to your request.
-My classes are for learners at 15 years old or older.
-I tell you how to achieve Japanese skills online in the most efficient way. When it comes to learning English, I started online learning in 2016. I passed the first grade of Eigo Kentei（CEFR C1).My teaching material

I learn something new every lesson and Taka sensei makes sure that we always revise the content of the previous lesson, which enhances my memory and it helps me make a lot of progress. I am always looking forward to our lessons. Taka is a very friendly and encouraging teacher. He loves sharing his deep understanding of honorific language and it is always a pleasure to dive into the vocabulary and rules for usage. He also gives great feedback during the lesson helping to deepen my understanding of the topic or to offer ways to expand my vocabulary or knowledge.
