He’s always great at bringing everyday experiences to the lessons. Everything in his lessons can be used practically in everyday situations. He used some vocabulary that had more than one meaning and gave examples to better clarify. He had me spell out words and sound out the syllables for better retention.

기 현씨 has a very nice personality and encourages you to speak during the class. He also prepares lessons based on your korean level. Today, I learned new words and had the chance to practice my pronunciation. 감사합니다 선생님

Officially done with Beginner 1! Moving on to Beginner 2. Really focused on perfecting the sounds of the vowels. He wanted me to spell the words on my own for better retention.

The lesson with Gihyeon was so much fun. He is a funny and easygoing person. He explained to me which level would suit me. We introduced ourselves, and Gihyeon offered to chat a little bit about a topic of my choice. This helped to "break the ice" as I was very nervous in the beginning. I am looking forward to starting my "Korean Journey" with his help :) Thank you Gihyeon :)

I really had fun today! He really spent time correcting my pronunciation on 격음(double consonants). Really working on my aspiration, tongue placement and lip movements. I felt such an improvement after the thorough lesson! Have some homework to do and off to my next class! <3
