Hello and welcome!
I’m Maaike, a 36-year-old from Belgium. I hold a Master’s degree in Criminology and spent three years working at an NGO. However, my adventurous spirit led me to travel with my partner, and we lived in Australia for a few years.
It was there that I discovered my love for teaching English. I found it incredibly fulfilling to help people who were struggling with the language in my spare time.
After taking a break to explore the beautiful landscapes of Indonesia, Vietnam, and Thailand, we returned to Europe. I noticed a growing interest in learning Flemish, so I decided to apply what I had learned from teaching English and expanded my focus to include Flemish as well.Me as a Teacher
° All ages and levels are welcome. I aim to provide a friendly, supportive, and understanding environment for all students, including those who are neurodiverse. I love connecting with people of all backgrounds, and I look forward to hearing your story!
° Mistakes are seen as opportunities for growth and learning.
° Lessons will be in Flemish, but if we get stuck I'm fluent in English and I speak some French as well :). Feel free to contact me in any of these languages.My lessons & teaching style
