Hi, I'm Alicia, a friendly language lover and empathetic tutor. I want to help you get out there and talk!
Originally from the US, I've lived for over a decade in Lithuania and now the Netherlands, learning Lithuanian and Dutch along with bits and pieces of language from all the many places I've travelled in the meantime.
I love getting to know people, hearing their stories, and encouraging self-expression. I also love nature, traveling (especially by train!), and linguistics.Me as a Teacher
I have a BA in music and an MA in Teaching English as a Second Language, in addition to a passion for languages and people. I love helping people, and really enjoy seeing someone succeed in their language goals!
Having learned a few languages myself, I know how challenging it can be and how scary it is sometimes to go out and speak the language you're learning, especially in new situations. My background in TESOL means I can also help set you up to learn in the most effective way for you depending on your goals. Most of all, I'm here to help you feel comfortable practicing your Dutch so you'll feel more confident next time you have to use it in real life! My lessons & teaching style

I had a great introductory lesson with Alicia. She is kind, patient, and friendly. Because she knows the challenges of learning the Dutch language, I think she can really help me get over my fear of speaking. I'm looking forward to more lessons with her because I was at ease and it was a pleasure to talk with her.
