Hello students. My name is Sumeyra and I was born and raised in the Netherlands. I come from Hilversum, which is a village located near Amsterdam and Utrecht. I have a very neutral Dutch accent, it's hard to say where I'm from. I decided to offer Dutch lessons because I have a passion for languages, which I would like to share with others. Because I was raised bilingual, I have a lot of insight into learning languages and the differences between different languages. Besides Dutch, I also speak Turkish, English, and Spanish. I can offer lessons in these languages, but the focus will be on speaking Dutch. Because I know how difficult it is to learn a new language, you can trust that I will always be patient with you. We can adjust the speed of learning to your personal needs. Not everyone has lots of free time for homework and that's totally okay! In that case we'll adjust the classes so that you can learn the most during class. In the first class we'll discuss your goals and your preferred style of learning Dutch. It's important for me to tailor the classes to your needs and find what works best. We will focus on grammar, speaking and listening . It's important for me to make you practice as much as possible, instead of just explaining for a long time. I try to keep the classes as interesting as possible, with different types of excercises. We will practice real life conversations and do fun games and activities.
