Batjargal

Ms Batjargal is one of the best teachers I've ever had. She explains the complicated Mongolian grammar very well, provides useful examples and knows how to motivate people. I already have three pages of notes with lots of new words after this lesson of 30 minutes, looking forward to the next one! Үнэхээр баярлалаа, багш аа! :-)

It was a very good introductory one-hour lesson. We worked on phonetics mainly this time. We used two handbooks: "Mongolian Colloquial Speech Language Exercises for Mongolian Language Students" by Bayarmaa Khalzaa and "Mongolian for Beginners" by the same author. I'm very excited to learn even more of real spoken Mongolian in next classes.

Teacher helped me review and then introduced new phases, asked in Mongolian for me to say things. Always pushing my limit but very patient, and kind. I really enjoy these classes. I iinproving much faster than if I try to learn independently. She has also provided materials outside of class, she made sound files of many words to help my pronounciation and listening skills. Now I have speaking practice for homework, will be tested next class

Batjargal is hands down the best Mongolian teacher out there! She really cares about the students and does everything she can to help them. She isn't strict or intimidating but also can adapt to a structured lesson or an easygoing lesson depending on her needs. I have studied with her for many years. Even though I am not always consistent in studying Mongolian with studying so many other languages, she always encourages me and makes note of where I've improved, even when I may worry I don't improve fast enough. For anyone who would like a chill but effective teacher/guide in learning Mongolian, I highly recommend her classes. She also helps me with Russian here and there, and I understand from experience that she can teach both languages well.

Batjargal is an excellent teacher! She has many great resources. She uses Gateway to Mongolian, Quizlet and other sources that help with my listening, vocabulary, and grammar skills. Sheʻs very patient, and will respond to me quickly when I message her, which is usually during Mongolian time business hours.

Although there were some technical difficulties, we made good progress today. I look forward to our next lesson after the lunar new year.
