Hello, my name is Jihyun Kim, and I'm a native Korean speaker. I currently live in the United States, and I also had the amazing opportunity to live in Vietnam for four years. These experiences have given me a great understanding of different cultures and the challenges of learning a new language.
I have a bachelor's degree in computer science and a master's degree in art psychotherapy. I worked as a programmer for about 10 years and have been a professional psychotherapist for over 10 years. In my free time, I love doing yoga, and I make it a point to read a book every day. Since moving to the U.S., I haven't been able to travel as much, but I'm always looking forward to my next adventure.Me as a Teacher
As a teacher, my philosophy is that language learning should be an enjoyable and comfortable experience. I deeply understand the difficulties and frustrations of learning a new language, especially the feeling of being stuck and not seeing clear progress. That's why I want to help you find topics you are truly passionate about, so you can study Korean consistently without getting tired.
As a professional psychotherapist for over 10 years, I also serve as a mentor and life coach for adults in their 20s and 30s, helping them clarify their career paths and future goals. I believe that language learning is a personal journey, and I want to be your dedicated coach throughout the process.My lessons & teaching style
My lessons focus on conversational Korean for intermediate to advanced learners who want to speak more naturally. We'll talk about fun topics like K-pop, K-drama, and Korean travel to expand your vocabulary and improve your fluency.
Thanks to my professional background, I also offer specialized lessons. If you're interested in IT, technology, or psychology, I can teach you the specific terminology and expressions used in those fields in Korea.
