When I started learning with Hannah, my Mandarin was extremely rusty after years of disuse. Six months later, I can say she’s one of the best teachers I’ve ever had the pleasure of learning from. She was quick to recognize my skill level and work from there. When it comes to teaching, she’s always patient and careful to explain concepts clearly before moving on. Although we work from a textbook, she sets aside ample time for conversational practice to exercise speaking and listening. Most impressively, she’s an incredible conversationalist, and is mindful of what terms I know. Because of that, she’s able to start engaging conversations at a level I can understand and respond to, and often tailors them around vocabulary we’ve recently covered. Working with her is a pleasure, and I’m very happy with how far I’ve come in learning Mandarin over the past months. Overall, Hannah is an excellent teacher who knows how to engage with her students to promote effective immersive learning.

Hannah is an excellent teacher. She is always prepared for class. Hannah is patient and gives you time to think through the answer and corrects as needed. I enjoy her class and look forward to attending. Its challenging but in a good way and I am well on my way to speaking Chinese due to her teaching style.

Hannah is wonderful. I cannot say enough good things about her. I love every lesson with her and I have had about 50 at this point. She is lovely, personable, and an excellent teacher. We cover new material most lessons and each lesson incorporates material from all the previous ones, enabling strong comprehensive. She is very patient; she lets you finish completing your thoughts and then gently corrects the mistakes made. I enjoy when she introduces me to Chinese culture as well. I am excited to continue learning from her and I highly recommend her!
