After graduating college, I decided I wanted to gain life experience and travel while teaching English online. I love traveling because of the new perspectives it brings me and trying all the great food around the world! I am currently living in Mexico, and my goal is to become fluent in Spanish and learn salsa dancing while I'm here.
After my travels, I aspire to earn a master's degree in School Psychology. But first, I hope to gain valuable teaching experience through italki to help prepare for my future career.Me as a Teacher
I specialize in working with children because I am passionate about youth development and education. As an after-school English teacher, I plan and teach curriculum to children aged 6-12, using techniques such as music education and the communicative approach. Although I enjoy leading large groups, I love working with students one-on-one because it allows a more personal connection and I can better support individual needs. My lessons & teaching style
In my student-centered lessons, I use a variety of class materials and see what works best with each individual student. With new students, I start with an ice-breaker to get to know each other and establish a friendly class environment. We will then formulate a learning plan together, based on the student's specific goals and interests. I also try to make sure that my student talks more than me, so that they are getting as much speaking practice as possible during lessons.
Most of my students either prefer conversational classes, where we talk about miscellaneous topics, or Business English, where I support my students in interview preparation and developing professional language.My teaching material
