Hi! I’m Maricel, a native Spanish teacher from the Pura Vida country, Costa Rica. I know what it feels like to want to speak a language but feel anxious, nervous, or afraid. That’s why in my classes, I focus on helping you feel confident, relaxed, and motivated to speak Spanish. I also love cooking, dancing, and everything related to the holistic world, and I enjoy learning about new cultures—I’ve even traveled to Panama! My classes are dynamic, fun, and tailored to your level so you can enjoy learning conversational Spanish with confidence.

Me as a Teacher

I teach Conversational Spanish for adult learners at the intermediate level (A2–B2), and I also support motivated A1 students who already understand basic Spanish and want to gain confidence speaking. I have experience as a preschool teacher, educational administrator, and academic assistant and instructor in universities, including master’s-level teaching. I also have a background in digital marketing and digital product sales, which helps me design clear, structured, and goal-oriented lessons. I teach with patience, empathy, and a practical, real-world focus so students feel confident from the first class.

From the very first class, my goal is for you to feel happy, motivated, and confident, enjoying the process while learning to express yourself in Spanish naturally.
