I always search for new ways of expression.
WHAT SCHOOL HAS TAUGHT ME:
Language is full of RULES to stick to. Language has to be reflected and well organized. It has to be correct, logical and well formulated.
WHAT LIVING ABROAD HAS TAUGHT ME:
Living and studying abroad (beautiful Southern France, busy Berlin and charming Austria) have taught me to be like a child again while speaking French and German: listening, watching the movements of the lips, and IMITATING! Developing these skills were crucial for me to gain fluency in French and German.
I have been living in Austria for 3 years.Me as a Teacher
I hold a MA degree in German and French Linguistics, with specialization in Conference Interpretation.
Currently, I teach German at the Bruckner University in Austria, as well as private lessons in French and German.
As a teacher, I focus mostly on communicative skills, but my rule is to constantly search for student's current needs and practice skills that need special attention.
I'll teach you:
1. Speaking
2. Understanding written and spoken word
3. Writing
As a foreigner, I have the advantage of language reasoning that native speakers usually don't question. Conference Interpretation has taught me the right pronunciation and intonation - I will also teach you that.My lessons & teaching style
1. WHAT: The first step is to create an individual plan and to find tools that will best serve your goals.
2. HOW: I would, for most of the time, speak to you in the foreign language, as I want you to get used to it and I don't find it efficient to switch between languages constantly. In case of doubts, I use English for a short explanation. This way, you'll most likely discover the language in an intuitive way.
3. TOOLS: I use Quizlet as a vocabulary base for each student.
I work with texts, audio recordings from different sources and individual worksheets.
I also offer only conversations, if you wish so.
4. ATTITUDE: Be like a child! Imitate a lot! Be creative and enjoy :-)My teaching material

German TeacherI currently teach German to music and dance students.
I include a special preparation for their future job, like: anatomy lessons, learning dance & music vocabulary, practicing teaching situation, etc.
As dancers and musicians are very interactive and usually don't like to sit for a long time, I teach in a very active way. I use the Total Physical Response method to teach them vocabulary. We also often find movements to new words or grammar topics learned in class.

It was a very good lesson. I understood more passive voice. It's not so easy for me, but Ola explained me everything very clearly. She prepared a lot of exercises for it as well. I really recommend Prof Ola.

Wonderful first class with Ola! I was made to speak a lot, but in an extremely natural way. Ola really guides and asks questions to push the conversation further, all the while using as many easily comprehensible words as possible to help my understanding. I appreciate all the help I received. Looking forward to the next session already :).
