▪️ Hi! I'm a teacher, translator, interpreter, and now also a tour guide.
▪️ I love using my languages to learn, travel, and meet new people.
▪️ Spanish and English are my main working languages, but I want to learn Portuguese and Italian, too.
▪️ I'm from Argentina 🇦🇷, currently living in Australia 🇦🇺. You may find me teaching from anywhere in the world.
▪️ I'm finishing my translation 🌐 degree at FaHCE, UNLP (La Plata, Argentina). I'm most interested in legal translation and translation in the social sciences and humanities.Me as a Teacher

An educator's role is to set you "in motion" and get you out of your comfort zone (where you are standing now). The ultimate goal is for you to become MORE CAPABLE AND INDEPENDENT every time. ▪️ If you let me know less than 3 hours before the lesson (or during or after the lesson), you'll get HALF a refund.
▪️ If you don't tell me anything before, during, or after the lesson, I'll take that as giving up on the lesson, I won't report a problem, and there will be NO REFUND.

I helped carry out several projects, from a football tournament to CV-making talks for teenagers. I also volunteered to repair public places.

TranslatorI am a freelance translator. I have translated mostly legal texts (birth, death, and marriage certificates, divorce judgments, contracts, education documents and diplomas, etc.), technical and scientific texts (in hard sciences, social sciences, and the humanities), and some literary texts (from different authors from English-speaking countries). Legal translation is my top specialty.

Tomás is a very good teacher. He is intelligent, kind, and encouraging. I like his willingness to help me improve within the structure of discussing topics that interest me, and I like his way of correcting the things I write. My Spanish is improving from working with him. It’s satisfying to get results from fun lessons which I always look forward to. His fluency in English is useful as well. I’d suggest working with Tomás on Spanish or English to anyone, but I can especially recommend his Spanish lessons to native English speakers.

An amazing class. I'm already more-or-less fluent in Spanish but need the practice and specific skills in legal Spanish. Tomás is so well-prepared and flexible, and I'm continuing weekly lessons with him well into the future. I can't recommend enough.

Tomás is very warm and friendly and is able to move seamlessly between Spanish and English. He asked me what language I wanted to use for the class (as he was helping me with translation) and gave me many choices about the directions we could go in class. At the same time, he was willing to share his wide knowledge and understanding of translation to help me deepen my current understanding. I'm excited to continue working with Tomás as I feel my confidence and skills with translation will grow exponentially.
