Hi, my name is Celine. I’m from Guangzhou, Guangdong, China. I’m a native speaker of both Cantonese and Mandarin. I graduated from university in 2011 with a bachelor’s degree in business English. In my spare time, I enjoy swimming, cooking, and watching American and HK tv shows and movies.

For the last eight years, I’ve been teaching English and Cantonese around China. I really enjoy teaching. It feels great for me to watch my students improve.

My lessons & teaching style

If you are a beginner in Cantonese, or need help with your pronunciation, we can start with Jyutpin or Yale. If you’re intermediate level, then we can have classes on simple topics, like shopping, watching movies, grocery shopping, cooking, entertainment, news, health, diet, etc. if you’re advanced, let’s chat. It’s up to you.

Very happy with my first lesson with Celine. She was very patient and corrected my tone and taught me new phrases to use. She stayed a few minutes longer to make sure to review what we've covered in the lesson.
