Here to Deutsch up your life! Native Speaker (accent-free Standard German) and new to this platform! Hello! I'm Elena, a native speaker of German and Italian from Switzerland, now living in Sheffield, UK. Growing up in a multilingual environment and later becoming fluent in English as a foreign language gave me first-hand experience of what it means to learn, practise, and live in different languages. Because of this, I understand many of the challenges language learners face and can offer practical support, encouragement, and effective learning strategies. For several years, I was actively involved in a German-speaking community group that brought together learners and native speakers for weekly conversation practice. There, I regularly supported learners, answered language questions, explained vocabulary and grammar, and helped create a welcoming environment for people building confidence in German. Having recently moved away, I'm looking for a new way to scratch this itch. I'm looking forward to sharing with you on iTalki! I believe language learning is about more than grammar and vocabulary. Being able to communicate confidently can help people integrate into new communities, build meaningful relationships, and feel more at home wherever they are. My lessons are friendly, patient, and tailored to your goals. Whether you want to improve your conversation skills, strengthen your grammar, prepare for travel, or simply feel more comfortable speaking German or Italian, I aim to create a relaxed environment where you can learn with confidence and enjoy the process.

Es war wirklich sehr entspannt. Ich hatte überhaupt keinen Stress und es hat sich wirklich so angefühlt, als würde ich mich einfach in einem Café mit einer Freundin treffen und mich mit ihr unterhalten. Aber trotzdem war es nicht so, dass es zu wenig lehrreich war. Elena hat mir zwischendurch passende Wörter beigebracht und mich auch korrigiert. Außerdem hat sie mich zwischendurch immer wieder gut motiviert. Es war wirklich 10 von 10 Punkten. Ich kann Elena wirklich nur wärmstens empfehlen.
