Mondays with Mikael | Discover Finnish & Finland 🇫🇮 Hi, I’m Mikael. I offer something you cannot find in a textbook: lived experience of Finnish language, culture, society, and working life. At the heart of everything we do is one thing: exploring Finland together. Finnish is our way in. You don’t need to live in Finland, move here, or have a specific goal. Your starting level doesn’t matter. If you are curious about Finnish or Finland, that is enough. With an M.A. in Education from the University of Helsinki and over 30 years of experience in Finnish working life, I bring a practical, first hand perspective to our lessons. I’m not here to pretend I know everything. I’m here to explore Finnish and Finland with you. Think of me as a guide and thinking partner. Ask questions, make mistakes, discover new things, and explore safely. **Real Finnish:** Spoken and standard Finnish, everyday expressions, pronunciation, vocabulary, and how people actually communicate. **Life in Finland:** Culture, history, society, work, humour, habits, and the unwritten rules textbooks leave out. **Your Questions:** I may not know the answer straight away, but I’ll find it. Together we explore not only how Finnish works, but why. **Special Modules:** Finnish for work and university, cultural exploration, and Raw Finnish, a Finnish only challenge for advanced learners. My style is calm, practical, curious, and flexible. There is no pressure to perform. We explore and learn together. **Monday Momentum:** I teach exclusively on Mondays. 🇫🇮
