German and English teacher for adult learners with 10+ experience I'm a friendly and sociable person who loves meeting new people - that's why I enjoy teaching on italki so much! I love exploring new countries, cultures and languages and I have lived some time in Germany, India, England and Brazil. Now I'm living in the South of France in the countryside. I'm a very active person and I love doing Yoga and Acroyoga. I'm interested in meditation and Ayurveda as well as topics related to health and well-being in general. My other hobbies are learning playing the guitar, knitting and sewing, cooking and playing with my big fluffy cat Tapioca. I have always enjoyed teaching and sharing knowledge with the people around me, so giving language classes is something that comes quite natural to me. I'm a very patient person and it gives me great satisfaction to see my students progress, each one at their on individual pace. Making students feel at ease is essential for me, especially since we try to speak German as much as possible from the first lesson. I have lots of different materials, pdfs, videos, worksheets and online exercises to facilitate fun and engaging lessons that make your learning journey easy. I always adapt my material to the needs of my students, so please tell me about your goals and needs in advance. In my lessons we will cover different everyday topics such as work, hobbies, travel etc. but if you are interested in some particular topics please let me know and I will adapt the lesson material for you. This was my first lesson with Luisa and I enjoyed it very much. She was well prepared, positive and upbeat and had even sent me resources before our call. The entire conversation was in German which I actually appreciated because it forces me to speak the language. I look forward to our next session!
