Vicenta

My daughter has been taking lessons with Vicenta for a couple months now and today she met a man who spoke Spanish and she was so excited she could understand him and hold a good conversation with him! Thank you Vicenta! You have been instrumental in helping us learn Spanish!!

Vicenta is a great teacher. She is interested in you progress and talks about issues that are important to you, while teaching at the same time. She uses a conversational style, which is the best way to learn. I will continue to learn with her each week.

Challenging, fun, a little bit frustrating (because of my 60 year old brain LOL), and very rewarding! Vicenta always surprises me with the amount of patience she shows when I struggle to overcome this Texas accent and learn proper pronunciation!

Today Vicenta provided me with another great lesson. She gave me pointers on ways to better remember if words are masculine or feminine, something that is difficult for me but which she has now made better. Somehow the things she teaches me stick so much better than when I try to learn them on my own. Maybe it is her kind and engaging manner. She encouraged me to try to stretch my Spanish skills and I succeeded in saying things that I didn't know I could. ¡Muchas gracias, Vicenta!

Another productive and pleasant lesson with Vicenta! Vicenta introduces cultural information into our lessons, which I find interesting and motivating. She is able to understand what I am trying to say as I stretch my vocabulary, and provides me with the words and structures to express myself, all while staying in Spanish.
