I have no experience in chinese but it was quite interesting learning about the history behind the letters as I'm learning through it

Great lesson with Ziyu! We talked about the end of summer, about hot water and about eating potatoes. Ziyu told me that she a movie saw recently about the Nanjing atrocities, and we talked about that time period. Ziyu always has an interesting point of view which makes for good conversation!

Great lesson with Ziyu! We talked about medicine in the US, Europe and China. We also talked about cultural differences - speaking directly, politely turning down offers of help, etc. We also talked about cities in the US and China. Ziyu explained a lot of things that I wasn't aware of, which was really interesting. Ziyu is a really good conversation partner because she is easy to understand!

Great lesson with Ziyu! We talked about electric cars and electric car batteries. We also talked about work habits in China, the US and Europe. We discussed robots and manufacturing computer chips. Lessons with Ziyu have really helped my listening comprehension, which helps me better participate in the conversation!

Great lesson with Ziyu! We talked about glasses and eyes - VR glasses, reading glasses, blue light-blocking glasses , contact lenses and lasik surgery. We also talked about summer coming to an end and back-to-school. It was fun to talk about these things with Ziyu!
