My name is Dan Thompson, I'm 40 years old and I've been teaching English for 13 years. I currently live in Ipswich, Suffolk in the UK, but I was originally born in the United States. I've lived and worked in 6 different countries and have travelled to 24 so far. I enjoy being outdoors, getting exercises, reading books, watching a good movie and of course traveling!Me as a Teacher
I started teaching in 2008 and have since attained 6 English Language teaching certifications and attended hundreds of hours of trainings, workshops and teaching seminars. I have also trained other teachers and hosted CPDs and regional education workshops for English language teachers. I have taught in primary and secondary schools as well as universities and language schools for children and adults. I have over 5 years of online teaching experience and I have taught online classes of every size; from one-to-one, to small groups and even classes of over 30 students at one time!My lessons & teaching style
My lessons are always customized to each student I teach. I always begin with a short lesson to assess the students needs and goals and discuss how best we can achieve those goals together. I will then design a curriculum plan that will best help the student achieve their language targets. I have materials for every kinds of language learner and every English language level. I always aim to make the lessons as fun and engaging as I can while also making sure the student is effectively learning the skills they need to succeed and progress.My teaching material

Dan is a professional, motivating, empathic teacher. I have booked 20 lessons with him over the last months. We talked about methods to learn new vocabulary, passiv voice and prepositions. He sended me very useful material to learn more about these topics. In our lessons I asked him a lot of questions and he always found a simple and understandable way to answer it.
